We no longer do any TFP shoots. All our commercial shoots from this point on will only use models from established modeling agencies. The reliability of models from sites such as Model Mayhem and OMP have made it necessary to rethink how we obtain our talent for the paid shoots.
The non agency TFP models we have worked with in the past that have proven reliable will continue to be considered for paid work.

Sunday April 27th
Sunday we were in the studio shooting 1 model Angelrose and each time I shoot her it gets better and better. She has a great look and requires very little direction, always a pleasure to work with her.
This was another body paint shoot and the paint was done again by Skillz airbrushing and it looks amazing, IMHO. This guy is very talented and I look forward to working with him a lot more.
The makeup and hair were done by Jamie Rose and as usual it looked great. Jamie also helps a lot with model direction and set suggestions. So if your looking for a make up and hair person don't hesitate to book her it is worth it.
For this shoot I used 1 large Halfdome softbox as a fill, 1 Elinchrom Deep Throat Octagon softbox for main light, 2 mono lights with colored gels and a SB800 as a kicker. All the mono lights were Elinchrom BX 400's, nice lights work very well in the studio. Two full length reflectors where used both as flags and to reflect light as fill.
We used a Hasselblad H2 with a P30 back and a 50 - 110 H lens.
Here are a few I got touched up. The problem is there are 150 more great shots so this will take a while in the editing. Nice problem to have!

Sunday April 20th
Sunday we were in the studio shooting 1 model Chris Rozakis. For this shoot I used 1 large softbox behind the model camera left, 1 Elinchrom Deep Throat Octagon softbox far camera right and a small softbox on a boom for the hair. Two full length reflectors where used from the camera position. Seeing where 1 light was behind and left of the model and the other was to her far right she needed some fill in front to light up the shadows.
Jenni Madsen did the makeup and hair, a great job as always.
The idea was to have dramatic lighting and Vogue style poses, here are two examples, I think Chris nailed it:

Busy Weekend 3/29 and 3/30 Shoots
We did 2 shoots at ICandi Studios in Seattle this weekend. The Saturday shoot one was a body painting and the Sunday Shoot was a heavy metal theme. The make up was done by Jenni Madsen for both shoots and she did a wonderful job and added a lot to the shoots.
The lighting for Saturday was a large strip box and a small softbox for hair. The Sunday shoot consisted of 1 main in a Elinchrome Deep Throat softbox, 1 fill in a large strip box, hair light in a small softbox and some gelled strobes. The background for both days was 200mil mylar and a interesting 3D clear acrylic material.
Saturdays shoot was with Angelrose as the model and the painting was done by artist Skillz, http://www.skillzairbrushing.com.

Sundays shoot was heavy metal with Jayne Delane and Victoria Lorraine both of them fit this theme perfectly.

ICandi Shoot 3/16/2008
Sunday we did another shoot at ICandi Studios in Seattle as you can see by the pictures Angela is a really good model and great to work with. The make up was done by Jenni Madsen who did a wonderful job and added a lot to the shoot.
The lighting consisted of 1 main in a large softbox, 1 fill in a large strip box, hair light in a small softbox and some gelled strobes. The background is 200mil mylar fun stuff but a little interesting to work with as it reflects everything in the studio in it. So we had to be careful what was in the background and flag it or move it. The softboxes had grids on them so we could aim the lights right at Angela and keep reflections in the mylar to a minimum.

Lingerie style shots 3/2008
Lighting Diagram for the Mirror shots, the strip light behind the mirror was to create a rim light and light the wall.

Lighting Diagram for the all the couch shots.

March 9th we did a shoot at Iris Studios in Seattle to do some Lingerie style shots. Two models were there Kristina and Sunny with Jenni Madsen doing the styling for MU and hair and it looked great. We also had three people from the Seattle Flickrites Meetup group, John, Jon and David.
They were there to observe a commercial photo shoot in a studio with models, stylists and studio lighting. They also got in a few shots and from what I saw they looked real good. So I hope it was a good experience for them. We will be doing 3 more of these shoots with Flickrite members this month.
We used three lights one large square softbox, one strip box and a small softbox as a hair light, various reflectors were used to fill in the light or to add warmth.
Here are some of the images from the shoot.
